The Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE) is Natural Resources Canada’s centre of excellence for energy conservation, energy efficiency and alternative fuels information. This enables NRCan to play a leadership role in helping Canadians save millions of dollars in energy costs while contributing to a healthier environment.
As part of its mandate, the OEE is helping to move the building industry towards greater energy efficiency and has been involved in energy efficient building since launching the R-2000 program in the 1980’s.
Now NRCan has developed the ENERGY STAR for New Homes initiative in Canada to allow Canadians to benefit from increased energy savings and reductions in both costs and emissions.
